Year 3

Welcome to the Year 3 page!

Monday, 20th April 2020.

Hello again Year 3,

Welcome to Summer Term 2020, I hope you have had a lovely Easter Break with your families... spent lots of time playing fun games, exercising, baking, watching movies and doing some home learning too!

We are going to be learning tons of new and exciting things this term. We have a new format and will be uploading a weekly timetable of work to be done during the week. Please only do what is possible and don't worry if you cannot get through all of it. There is more than enough work for children that may want to keep busy with their learning. Don't worry about printing any of the worksheets; you can just write the answers in the Maths / English books that were sent home.

In English, we are reading a new book "Voices in the Park" I have uploaded a copy for you to read. There are activities for you to do in order to understand the story better.

In Maths, we are carrying on with Fractions.

In Science, we are deepening our knowledge about Plants.

In History, we will become experts on 'Ancient Egyptians and their lives'.

In Geography, we are finishing off our topic on Volcanoes.

In Art, we are starting our unit on 'Pop Art' - Andy Warhol.

Please keep up your fantastic reading. Don't' forget to log onto TTrockstars and challenge your friends and teachers!!

From next week, we will be introducing a new online platform to do our learning - Mrs. Riches will introduce it to you.

In the meanwhile, a huge thank you to parents and carers for teaching our lovely, creative and engaged children at home and supporting us with this whole new experience and challenge of home learning!

Good Luck and please don't put too much pressure on yourselves, you are doing a fantastic job...Keep it up!

Miss Vaz
